Fans have been looking for clues as to GTA 6’s release date for years, and it looks like some new clues have surfaced on the Rockstar website from a surprise announcement.
There has hardly been any official Grand Theft Auto 6 news to get fans excited, and it’s been nearly eight years since GTA V came out. We looked for signs of an official release date or plot details.
However, it seems we might have a big clue as to the next installment’s reveal in this hit series. A few fans have discovered a mystery page on Rockstar’s website, and this sparked more rumors about GTA 6.
A mysterious page appears on Rockstar’s website
Fans of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption can get the latest official updates from Rockstar by visiting the NewswireOn April 6, the developers posted about Naturalist rewards, but a day later, something interesting surfaced.
Well-known leaker Tez2 noticed something strange on Rockstar’s website and posted about it on the GTA forums.
“So, Rockstar skipped another article,” said Tez. “Couldn’t mean anything or just reserved for a” GTA Online Job Spotlight “article etc. Heck, may not even have to do with GTA Online.”
This mystery page is numbered 62005 and its actual content is currently unknown. This has sparked widespread speculation about potential GTA 6 news, and the YouTuber MrBossFTW has responded:
“Now I think a lot of people are very hopeful that this will be for the expanded and improved version of GTA 5, the standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online – although they will likely be announced together. Or possibly what’s next for Grand Theft Auto Online. “
Is Rockstar Teasing a GTA Remaster?
Tez2 later claimed that this page was “not related to GTA Online”, and MrBossFTW added, “I think this is a clear indication that this is very likely for a title in the future, such as a new title. Or that this is for something like a remaster of older Grand Theft Auto games. “
Previously, the developers have indicated that they are open to future remasters for GTA titles. In an earlier statement, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick promised that they will work on the “very best” versions of old games.
